Inhibitions – La Danse Macabre

Review By Monica Redwine

Inhibitions is a black metal band from Athens. The band is a 2-man band composed of Dimons Night who in in charge of vocals, music production, drums, guitar, bass and keyboard, and Pain who also contributes to vocals and guitar. On Facebook Dimons Night described their sound as “depressive black metal” and some of the tracks definitely have that vibe, particularly “Rusty Razor” and “My Jurney to Death”. La Danse Macabre was released on 1/13/2018 and is certainly a must hear for black metal fans. My favorite from this album was “Rusty Razor” and their cover of Satyricon’s “K.I.N.G.” which I felt was an awesome way to wrap up the album. Another cool thing about this album was the beautifully haunting cover art by Melu Wolf of a skeletal knight riding a horse.

Track List:

  1. The Calling
  2. Toxic Rain
  3. Back to Dust
  4. No Escape
  5. My Jurney to Death
  6. Religion of Peace
  7. Harsh Awakening
  8. Eternal Winter
  9. Rusty Razor
  10. I.N.G. (Satyricon cover)
