Michael Sweet “One Sided War” Cd Review

We all know Michael Sweet as the vocalist guitar player and songwriter of Stryper, so no introduction is needed. So I purchased the new album and gave it a spin…wow doesn’t come to close to describe it. Is it Stryper sounding sounding…yes but it tends to go a little farther in some areas as heavier almost thrash metal in some cases. I like all the Stryper/sweet albums but it seems since they reformed a while back the music has become heavier and this ‘One Sided War’ follows the path, the playing and vocals on this album as fantastic as one comes to expect from Sweet, stand out tracks I won’t choose as you have to listen to the whole as it has a great flow, guest musicians are here but the star is Sweets song writing and style, so check this album out…really good to see a artist to continue to release quality music and not just rest on their history and mail it in. So cheers Michael Sweet on another excellent album.
