fb_img_1476116432842So after a few sporadic reunions over the years Grim Reaper has finally returned and released a new album, under the moniker Steve Grimmett‘s Grim Reaper. No need for a history lesson as we all know the 3 80’s albums ‘See You In Hell’ (83)‘Fear No Evil’ (85)…And their best imo ‘Rock You To Hell’ (87). Since it has been 29 years since a new Reaper album I was anticipating this album greatly. So on to the album “Walking In The Shadows’. First off no it’s not the 80’s Reaper…That said i popped on my headphones and listened to this album. Wow it does have Grimmett’s great vocals, A Little older but he still has the pipes. As for the songs they are a great ride down the Grim Reaper memory lane. The songs are well produced and performed and not just a copy of their earlier albums it’s like a modern day Grim Reaper. I thoroughly enjoyed this album. Standout tracks Are “Walking in the Shadow’s’ and the melodic nwobhm sounding ‘I’m Coming for You’ also ‘Reach Out’ has a good punch to it. Then again the whole album is a great return by the Reaper. One can hope it springboards a continuous journey. As I for one can’t wait to see where this leads as in releasing more albums. So the Reaper is back. Steve Grimmett’s Grim Reaper one heck of a return.
